The neighborhood of Tremont, on Cleveland’s west side, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As Tremont West Development Corporation points out: “Originally settled by Eastern Europeans, Appalachians, Greeks, Polish and African-Americans, Tremont is one of Cleveland’s oldest neighborhoods with architectural gems evoking its rich cultural heritage.” In fact, Tremont has the highest concentration of historic churches in any American neighborhood.
What’s your favorite section of Tremont to explore? Green Lincoln Park? Wood frame houses? Refurbished apothecaries finding new life as coffee shops? Art galleries?
